Swift 6.2 provides the programming language for the native iOS app. Zebra RFID SDK for iOS 1.1.99 connects the app to a Zebra RFD40 Premium reader through Bluetooth. The external reader performs RFID scanning. The phone displays asset records and verification results.

Fixed Reader Integration

Zebra FX9600 readers provide the proposed fixed detection points. Their built in Zebra IoT Connector sends tag events to the local application through HTTP POST requests. These requests carry reader data to a server endpoint. Zebra documents this connection method for on premises deployments.

Asset Database

Microsoft SQL Server 2022 version 16.x provides the proposed database platform. The application stores asset identifiers and accepted tracking events in this database. Local hosting places database maintenance and capacity planning with the client’s internal information technology team.

Deployment Management

Azure DevOps Server 2022.2 with Patch 12 provides the proposed release management platform. Deployment agents install approved application packages on the client’s Internet Information Services (IIS) web servers. IIS hosts the web application.
